NCAAF: Iowa vs. Nebraska ‘Best Bet’

Iowa Hawkeyes (9-2) roll into Memorial Stadium at 12:30 PM CT to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-8). Iowa is 3-1 on the road. Nebraska is 3-3 defending home field. A B1G 10 conference game to decide the future of both programs for the near future.

Iowa is ranked 37th out of 130 teams in passing yards allowed this season. While Nebraska’s defense ranks 58th in passing yards allowed this season. Here is a team in Iowa led by Sophmore QB Alex Padilla who had an impressive game against an Illinois football team that has looked to play spoiler this year. I don’t like that fourth-year starter QB Adrian Martinez is out for Nebraska and the red shirt freshman is taking the helm.

A key difference maker in this game is Iowa’s RB Tyler Goodson. This guy has been running with a purpose all year long! Today he looks to break a single season rushing record and this Nebraska defense ranks 52nd overall in stopping the run. While Iowa ranks 10th overall in run defense.

Preston’s Best Bet: IOWA +1.5 (-120)
