Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics: Preston’s Best Bet

Miami Heat (37-31) roll into TD Garden to face the Boston Celtics (35-33) in an important Eastern Conference regular season game.

The Line: Miami Heat (-120) vs. Boston Celtics (+100)

With the recent news of Boston Celtics (SF) Jaylen Brown being ruled out for the remainder of the season the line has shifted toward the Miami Heat side. These teams are evenly matched on paper. Both teams have a positive 36-32 record a piece at the OVER/Under. 54% of the public is on the OVER for tonight’s matchup. While 46% are on the UNDER. OVER is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

After Jimmy Butler’s not so distant criticism of his teammates; Miami has responded winning the last 8 out 10 games. Boston Celtics have won 4 out of their last 10 games. This is a pivotal game for seeding in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Both teams do not play at a relatively up-tempo pace. However, scoring is coming with ease against both teams defenses.

I am under the impression Jimmy Butler and the Heat players are looking to do more and have some steam headed into the playoffs. I expect Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson to pick up their game as well. Celtics led by Jason Tatum and Kemba Walker will be looking to rally their team after one of their elite leaders has gone out.

Preston’s Best Bet: OVER 223.5 Total Points (-120)
