Milwaukee Brewers vs. Miami Marlins: Preston’s Best Bet

Milwaukee Brewers (18-16) enter LoanDepot Park of Miami, Florida to faceoff against the Miami Marlins (15-17). This game is the third and final of the current series between the two teams; with both notching a victory. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 PM CT.

The Line: Milwaukee Brewers (+130) vs. Miami Marlins (-154)

Milwaukee Brewers listed pitcher is left-hander Brett Anderson (2-2) carrying a 4.15 ERA around his belt. LHP Anderson has a low strikeout total at this point of the season with only 8 K’s and 4 walks. However, that is large in part due to lingering injuries. Anderson’s last start was on April 23rd where he pulled his hamstring and was pulled. Three Miami batters have faced Anderson before and two have done well. Adam Duvall launching a homerun off of him once before.

Miami Marlis listed pitcher is right-hander Sandy Alcantara (1-2) carrying a 2.95 ERA. Alcantara has 42K’s at this point in the season with only 12 walks. A few Brewers hitters have been able to mount an offense against Alcantrara but by in large he has dominated the better half of their batting order. Alcantara has only allowed two or less earned runs in his last five of seven starts.

The weather is the most important metric while betting baseball. Today we are being sent a gift in what is shaping up to be a hitters environment. A humidity index over 70%, rain finishing up, wind blowing out to left field and a temperature at 78 degrees Fahrenheit set to climb.

Preston’s Best Bet: Miami Marlins OVER 3.5 TT Runs (-110)
