The Line: Phoenix Suns (+104) vs. Brooklyn Nets (-122)
A competitive Phoenix Suns (42-17) team continues their road trip (where they have won two out of three) to faceoff against the Brooklyn Nets (40-20) this afternoon in what is sure to be an entertaining basketball game.
Kevin Durant is expected to play for Brooklyn today and that will surely give them a much needed boost. However, I don’t know how many minutes Durant will accumulate over the course of this game. I anticipate Kyrie Irving still handling the bulk of possessions and facilitating the basketball to the open man for the duration of this game.
Phoenix has a lot of weapons on the wing and I appreciate their guards not being afraid to slash inside. Phoenix has an impressive 19-8 away record. While Brooklyn has continued to be strong at home this season with a 24-7 record. Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton continue to be a good connection to the basket and will provide some headaches for this Brooklyn defense.
Brooklyn played two nights ago and squeaked out a 109-104 win over the Boston Celtics. Phoenix will have an extra day of rest advantage in this contest. One last nugget I will drop on you today is the Suns are 7-1 ATS (Against The Spread); in their last eight games as a road underdog.
Preston’s Best Bet: Phoenix Suns +1.5 (-105).
