The Line: Cleveland Cavaliers (-102) vs. Charlotte Hornets (-116)
The Cleveland Cavaliers (21-37) head into the Spectrum Center to hash it out with the Charlotte Hornets (28-30).
In their last meeting on April 14, 2021 Cleveland didn’t crease a sneaker beating the Hornets 103-90. Prior to that meeting Cleveland beat the Hornets 121-114 on December 23, 2020. Hornets still without Gordon Hayward, Malik Monk, LaMelo Ball and Nate Darling. For Cleveland this is as good as it gets with their roster for the rest of this season.
There is not one single stat you can look at and make a strong case for either team. However, one bright spot I stumbled upon for the Cavaliers side is they are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Charlotte. I’m leaning toward the slightly bigger and more talented forwards with Jarrett Allen and Kevin Love. I like the energy and scoring Collin Sexton provides down the stretch in tight games.
Charlotte playing a back to back has me cooling off of them. Cleveland being on the road has me cooling off of their money line.
My Wager: Cleveland Cavaliers +2 (-112)
