How I’m Playing Warriors At Suns

The Line: Golden State Warriors (+100) vs. Phoenix Suns (-118)

Steph Curry and company roll into the PHX Arena at 9:00 PM (CST) to take on the short-handed Phoenix Suns. In a Western Conference battle of two underrated and hard to figure out teams. One thing that can’t be denied is both teams will come to compete at a high-level.

Golden State Warriors have a 10(W)-8(L) overall. One thing I know about 2x NBA Finals Champion (PG) Steph Curry is he will not settle for being mediocre or let his teammates accept mediocrity. Golden State isn’t traveling far to play this game. Coming off back-to-back wins against the T-Wolves by wide margins. This Warriors team is ready to roll, even without (SG) Klay Thompson.

A lot of good can be said about the Phoenix Suns but they are banged up and without their best player (SF) Devin Booker tonight. The Suns rank 27th in offensive pace opposed to the Warriors who rank 1st in the NBA! (C) Deandre Ayton is one of the Suns shining stars and along with veteran (PG) Chris Paul makes a formidable one-two punch for opposing defenses. However, the role players aren’t stepping up for the Suns and in their last game they played miserably against an awful Oklahoma City Thunder team.

“The Public” is very divided over this game but I’m not in the least bit. The Suns are on a three-game losing streak and have lost four out of their last five. The Warriors are not an all-star cast but they have an all-star. I like the depth coming off the bench for the Warriors and their starting five appear to be a major task for the Suns. All the metrics point us to believe this will be a close game.

My wager: Golden State Warriors +3.5 (-146)

Play or Fade? I’d love to know.
