The Line: Los Angeles Rams (+260) vs. Green Bay Packers (-315).

The Packers led by Aaron Rodgers are on a roll right now. Outscoring their opponents by 15 PPG on their current six-game winning streak. Rodgers receivers are healthy, the O-line has held up thus far, and the rushing attack is still a force to be reckoned with. The Packers defense is on the uptick and has been stellar in the second half of this season. Three players to look out for on the Pack will be Davante Adams, Robert Tonyan, and Aaron Jones.
Rams traveling to the frozen tundra doesn’t bode well for them. Rams Quarterback Jared Goff has thrown zero touchdowns and five interceptions while playing in freezing temperatures. A classic case of not playing well in cold weather. The Rams defense is this teams bright spot. However, while reviewing the tape; they aren’t shutting other teams out. In the Rams last six games they have gone three and three. Losing to arguably the worst team in football outside of the Jaguars in the New York Jets.
Goff only played in last weeks game because the coaching staff could see it slipping away. I still do not believe his broken thumb is fully healed and I’m selling the fact that he is 100% healthy for this game. Many talking heads have eluded to Cam Akers running the ball well in this game. However, Cam Akers is not a prolific rusher in the NFL so let me stop you right there. A few good games are a far stretch from being an elite running back. Cooper Kupp is listed as questionable on ESPN.com and although I expect him to suit up; keep an eye on that.
Overall I believe the Rams schedule for the second half of the season was a cake walk and they didn’t do much more than pass the eye test. I feel people have discounted the Packers defense so much they are forgetting all of the other elements to this game. Overlooking Goff’s injury and his inconsistency in the cold weather will cost you.
My best bet: Packers -6.5 (-112).
Here’s two player props that are too juicy to leave on the table.
First player prop: Davante Adams – Anytime TD Scorer (-148).
The best receiver in the league and I will be laying a full unit on Adams to score one for the good guys.
Second player prop: Robert Tonyan – Anytime TD Scorer (+160).
Let’s say a half unit on Tonyan to bring home the bag. I believe the Rams linebackers will be over committing to the blitz. The safety help over the top will be shaded toward Adams, Valdes-Scantling, and even Lazard. Once the Packers are in a goal line situation; I love Tonyan’s chances to get big, go up, and grab a score.
