Chicago Fire are the scrappier team in this match-up. Chicago has 35 corners opposed to Cincinnati’s 16, this season. Although the Chicago Fire will be playing their opener at Soldier Field. With no fans present the momentum will still be all on the field.
On paper this is a tougher soccer match for Chicago Fire than FC Cincinnati. All the way to down to the substitutions; where Cincinnati has shown they have more flexibility. Cincinnati is also the better defensive team. It’s a fun group effort watch and it’s my pick for game of the night.
Look for Chicago to frustrate Cincinnati and get them to make mistakes passing the ball. Cincinnati is a methodical team and Chicago likes to pick up the pace when they feel they have an edge. That may be Chicago’s undoing tonight.
