Padres vs. Rockies preview and best bet

The Line: Padres (-108) vs. Rockies (-112)

This game has all the pieces to be an explosive offensive performance for both sides. SP for the Rockies is lefty Kyle Freeland who has been awful against the Padres in the past posting an 4.09 ERA in his last 9 games. SP for the Padres is lefty Joey Lucchesi posting a 4.91 ERA this season has not been great against the Rockies in history. Lucchesi has been limited in his pitch count and that is set to continue tonight.

Both teams bats are hot and ready for a win. Last night the Rockies had this game in the bag until 9th inning heroics by the Padres made that a distant memory. Final score of 8-7 Padres. While that game featured better pitching by both sides.

At this moment in the season the Padres are first in runs scored. With Padres batters M. Machado, F. Tatis Jr., along with the likes of J. Profar, and others it is no surprise they are clicking. Colorado is middle of the pack as for as runs scored go and they aren’t having trouble getting runners home as of late. With D. Dahl, C. Blackmon, M. Kemp and the rest of the starting lineup for Colorado this will be a good one to watch!

My wager: OVER 12.5 (-120)

Rating: 1 out of 5.
