Takeaways from NASCAR Pocono 350

Denny Hamlin in the #11 Toyota is on fire this season. Picking up the win at Pocono and executing a great pit strategy.

Kevin Harvick in the #4 Ford continues to contend for the win picking up a second place finish at Pocono in the cup series.

I don’t know if Kyle Busch is cursed, jinxed or just plain old unlucky but I will keep fading him until something changes for the #18 team.

Kurt Busch in that #1 Monster Chevy was impressive at Pocono picking up a stage 1 win but finished outside the top 10 at 13th.

Erik Jones in the #20 Toyota started in 38th place and finished 3rd. Great set up and great run he put together at Pocono. Expect big things in the future from Jones.

Keselowski in that speedy #2 Team Penske Ford picked up a stage 2 win and finished better than teammates Logano and Blaney. The most underrated driver in my opinion is Keselowski.

Big disappointments at Pocono were Tyler Reddick having car trouble from the beginning, and Joey Loganos awful day.

Final Thoughts: Ford and Toyota have been the dominant makes this season. Ford has won 8/15 races in the cup series this season. The top 5 finishing makes at Pocono resulted in 2 Toyota’s, 2 Fords, and 1 Chevy.
